coolant temp. sensor.
Written by nanwillow on 6/29/2010 at 03:16 pm

Hi, I solved my overheating problems by running a switched wire from the
thermostat sensor to ground. If the fan is not taking care of the problem, I
can override it and leave the fan on until the temperature is sufficently down.
My bike was stored by the previous owner for years in a hot dusty barn. This
dried out the rubber seals in the cooling system. As I have put on more and
more miles, the cooling system is now working normally and I rarely need the
switch.

replaced the switch in the radiator and still nothing. When I ground the switch
wire to the frame the fan comes on. Any ideas.
