Electrical issue
Written by douglasvanb on 6/30/2010 at 01:12 pm

Did you give a peak to the fuse underneath the seat?

Have you probed the terminals for the kill switch to see if you're getting any
voltage up there?

I understand the poor broke college student thing all too well. Which
RadioShack rocker switch did you find that works? (part number, etc)

Cheers!

Seems to happen a LOT to me, haha. Many months ago the Engine Stop switch quit
working on me, and being the poor college student I am I simply bypassed it
completely and would turn the engine off with the key only. Recently I figured
I would try just a simple automotive rocker switch from RadioShack and to my
relief it worked! BUT, at some point from me testing it out and then trying to
figure out how to attach the switch to the handlebar housing some mysterious bug
has presented itself. Now, when I try and start the bike it does absolutely
nothing. All the lights work, the horn works, and I could not find any fuse
that was blown. Even if I touch the two wires for the kill switch and try and
start it nothing happens... Any suggestions? Thanks guys!
