Non Honda Oil FIlters
Written by skyeenter on 7/1/2010 at 02:47 pm

Don't know if this has been posted in this section, don't have time to read all
the posts in thread, but this guy also did MC filter comparisons:

His recommendations is this:

Pure One
PL14610 $6 50*.39*2.36 92 Silicon Silicon A A This is how an oil filter
should be made. The anti-drainback valve is double the thickness of any other
here, and obviously seals very well. The media is the best available, and
there's a lot of it. The bypass valve is made from a laser-cut piece of
stainless steel, and just can't bind or jam.

hope this helps, skye

the Frams, The better Purolator premium filter, "Pure One", is not shown here.
The P1 filtered to smallest particulate of all brands listed at even twice the
price, (K&N, Mobil 1) and was well constructed. the ORielly house brand
Microgard is made by Bosch, PC part# GL 14476 Bosch was reported to have good
filtlation too, about $4 on sale. I bought both, and the P1 appearsto be the
better filter for about $6-$7 available at Advance Auto.
