wheel balancing
Written by pgboyd on 7/11/2010 at 12:39 pm

I tried to use them on my Kawasaki police bike and gave up. It's a bit of a pain
to get the dynabeads in the valve stem. On the PC, it would be next to
impossible. You'd probably just need to dump them inside the tire while you're
mounting it due to the angle of the valve stem.

I gave up on the dynabeads and ended up just keeping the same wheel weights on
the bike and haven't noticed a problem.

I will say that changing the tires on the PC is a lot easier due to the shaft
drive and much easier to remove the wheels (except for the plastic on the
front). You want really long tire irons to make the job of removing and
replacing the tire as easy as possible. It's still not a cakewalk, but worth
knowing how to do.

charges me about $25/tire to mount and balanced a tire on a rim. It would be
nice to be able to swap in and out my own tires when the need arises.
