Throttle locks ?
Written by ombestudio on 7/15/2010 at 02:31 am

Ok, I won't ask... I pretty much have it working now. I think I'm going to pick
up a couple of those washers though and try that.
Thanks for all the help.

into the housing. I never got that far because I can't seem to position it where
it isn't binding. As far as having the screw for the tension to tight,it seems
when it is not too tight it is with only one turn and I'm afraid it will pop
out. I also have enough room between the housing and the grip so it doesn't seem
to rub. I will take another look.

in the right location. I went to the hardware and bought a couple of 7/8 inch
I.D. nylon washers and put one on each side to keep it away from the housing and
the grip and now all is well. This is my third Vista and it was the first time I
got the tab hole in the wrong location. If your reading this Tim, yours is
drilled in the right spot.

will bind the throttle. Also there is the screw to adjust the tension, do you
have it too tight?

for all my past motorcycles. I can't get the freakin thing onto the PC though. I
understand about either cutting a slot or drilling a hole to mount it, that
isn't the problem. It seems to be too tight. I guess I have the one for 7/8 bars
but they don't have one for 1" bars except the one with the bar across the
housing. With the single one I have, the throttle is too tight, it doesn't just
release and snap back and you can't even twist the throttle normally. I have
enough room between the housing and grip. I hope I made some sense.
