Throttle locks ?
Written by ombestudio on 7/15/2010 at 02:31 am

Ok, I won't ask... I pretty much have it working now. I think I'm going to pick
up a couple of those washers though and try that.
Thanks for all the help.

it isn't binding. As far as having the screw for the tension to tight,it seems
when it is not too tight it is with only one turn and I'm afraid it will pop
out. I also have enough room between the housing and the grip so it doesn't seem
to rub. I will take another look.

I.D. nylon washers and put one on each side to keep it away from the housing and
the grip and now all is well. This is my third Vista and it was the first time I
got the tab hole in the wrong location. If your reading this Tim, yours is
drilled in the right spot.

have it too tight?

understand about either cutting a slot or drilling a hole to mount it, that
isn't the problem. It seems to be too tight. I guess I have the one for 7/8 bars
but they don't have one for 1" bars except the one with the bar across the
housing. With the single one I have, the throttle is too tight, it doesn't just
release and snap back and you can't even twist the throttle normally. I have
enough room between the housing and grip. I hope I made some sense.

Orrin, The bars on the PC are 7/8" at the ends, they are only 1" at the center where the clamps are. If the slot for the tab is not cut in the correct location and with a slight cnearance the unit can't float to canter itself on

I just put mine on a few days ago. (Thanks for the pre-drilled hole, Gib.) When I first put mine on, I also had some problems with the throttle releasing. After tinkering with it for a while, it suddenly started releasing. While I thought it

When installing a Vista Cruise with the stock grips, the grip has to be pulled away from the housing just a little bit to make room for the Vista.....but then the grip hangs over and binds up on the bar end. I always trim the little ridge off
