Throttle locks ?
Written by gibinmich on 7/15/2010 at 11:14 am

When installing a Vista Cruise with the stock grips, the grip has to be pulled
away from the housing just a little bit to make room for the Vista.....but then
the grip hangs over and binds up on the bar end. I always trim the little ridge
off of the end of the grip to prevent this from happening. The grip is more
comfortable with the ridge removed anyway. I've tried different grips and always
come back to the stockers. I like the small size and they still fit my hand well
with gloves on. In wet weather, without gloves, they are very slippery though. I
had Oury grips on my dirt bike. They look similar to the stockers but are much
softer and stickier.....but don't come in the same length. Dang! I've seen grip
puppies, they look like they might work and I might try a pair of them next.

When I first put mine on, I also had some problems with the throttle releasing.
After tinkering with it for a while, it suddenly started releasing. While I
thought it was clear on both sides, I think a small part of the throttle grip
was caught under the throttle lock.
