I looked at this and can't tell exactly what I'm seeing. I'm still looking for a
taller backrest (for my T-bag) and rack, and if this is a taller backrest, I'll
go for it. But I can't see how it attaches.

I was looking at utopia backrests for me and the wife and was told I had to have a hondaline bracket for the passenger rest. I called and was told it wasn't the stock bracket, yet can't find one from Honda (online). Anyone know what these are

I managed to pick up a new Hondaline backrest when I was in Florida last November. It had a revised part number and the dealer ordered it in for me within 5 days. The new part number is 08F75-MR5-110 and it cost $175.50. I am sure

Steve, If that number is available Service Honda, 1-800-828-5498, showes it lists at $171.95 and discounted at $139.74. You can give them a call and see if it is available. Fred --- In

Wow. I mean, wow. A whole backrest for <$100? My oh my, that is very tempting... But I have a question: How strong is that thing? How much weight/bending force can the system take? Would bolting on a rack, a case, and fillin

Mike, When Dan Birrell designed his rack, under the hand grips, he tested it with 150 pound weight on it and rode over rough roads. The rack design is slightly different than the backrest brackets. Fred --- In

So the sleeved bolt setup is strong like bull. Notwithstanding the stuff that's being hung on it (brackets, rack, etc.) It was more the sleeves and bolts that I was concerned about. That's good stuff to hear. Calms my fears. Thanks so muc

Thats the factory backrest Karen, which is low. It attaches to the grab handles. Good price though. --- In ipcrc@yahoogro
