Hondaline Brackets

Wow.

I mean, wow.

A whole backrest for <$100? My oh my, that is very tempting...

But I have a question: How strong is that thing? How much weight/bending force
can the system take? Would bolting on a rack, a case, and filling it with a few
pounds of stuff, then running over several rough patches be overwhelming and
cause something to fail, or is it really just fine?

I was either going to make a rack from scratch, using the same idea as the
brackets for this backrest, but solely a rack system, or modify one of these.

In either case, the same system of attachment (handle studs through the bracket
holes) was the idea... but it's been bothering me as to how much weight that can
hold onto overall. Here's my chance to find out, eh? :)
