Alfred,
"O" ring seals are some of the easiest to use. The correct repair is adjusting
the rheostat sender, not installing more uneeded electrical
circuits. If you pay attention to what you are doing there is no problem with
removing and reinstalling the sender unit and it is not as riskey as working on
the carbs, which half the new people on this list seem to want to do.
