Alternate front tires
Written by goldwingman40 on 9/8/2010 at 04:07 am

Roy,
If you go to the Avon site you will find the 120/80-17 Roadrider AM26 listed as
universal, both front and rear application, tire. The new stock has arrows for
front and rear rotation on the sidewall. The tires made before the testing was
completed and the moulds changed to indicate this show only the rotation for
rear mounting, but the tire is the same except for the front rotation arrow on
the sidewall. For front application you mount them opposite the rear rotation
arrow.
I have one of the old mounted and John Hanford has one of the new with both
rotations shown. I like the feel of the tire but I only have a little over 1000
miles on it. It is good on cut pavement where the Dunlop K555 is not.
