Hi,

I've managed to put 4.291 in at least 3 of mine. Once it was actually
4.314 but that was probably a difference in the pump.

Honda's 4.2 won't include the filler neck and I fill mine right near the
top.

All you had to do was note where the gauge was pointing when you pulled
in and you could use that as your gauge. I've been doing exactly that
for about 17 years...

If you haven't changed the gauge, it had to be up almost past the E when
you pulled in. My needle gets to slightly beyond the E when they (3 of
them) run out.

I haven't paid the same attention to the sidecar rig because it is a
totally different deal and the level of the tank may even be affected by
the front end changes and/or the weight of the sidecar.

Otherwise, I suspect they would be the same. Every PC I've ever ridden
had a gauge that ran out at VERY close to the same point. All three of
my solo PCs are identical in that regard.

If you use the needle's arrival at the left end of the red section as
your "time to fill up" indicator, it should work fine for you. If you
are out in the middle of nowhere, sooner than that like maybe the
arrival at the beginning of the red.

I have a couple thousand PC fill ups to judge by...
