I just put 4.221 gallons of gas in my PC!

Terry,

The thing about the PC is that there is no reserve switch over when the last of
the gas is used. So, when you're out, you're out. Its walking time. You have
been warned.

the gauge hit the red mark at which time the tank took about 3 gallons to fill
it. Today I was out dual sport riding tiny back roads and state truck trails
(actually one lane fire road) on my Sportster. I got back to town and had 170
miles on trip meter and put 3.15 gallons in the 3.3 gallon tank. Close enough I
would say.
