Progressive Springs, worth it?

Hi,
I'm just about to open and dump the fork fluid from the forks on my 97PC (15k
miles) and would like to get the most for my efforts.(Thanks to the knowledable
people on this board, else it wouldn't have been possible)

I read post about using progressive springs and wondered what are the pros and
cons of installing them at this time.. This question is directly tied to the
effort to remove and reinstall the forks..
