Progressive Springs, worth it?
Written by stanwalton... on 10/6/2010 at 03:56 pm

Thanks guys,

I think that after reviewing the input from everone here on the board,
Progressive Springs are a go..
I just went to the Progressive board and posted an email as to how many springs
are in a kit.. They are not to clear on that point.. Waiting or their reply.

Also,it seems that 10wt fork oil is the right weight..
Can't wait to get it back together, the weather is perfect.

Thanks,
Stan

you will not have any problems. They will not bottom out on anything stort of
riding off a cliff. Use 10 wt. fork oil.

and eliminate it bottoming. I have had them I my 89 PC since I got it in 94. I
also had them in my 85 GL1200 and have them in my 92 GL1500. The only other
thing that helps the frontend stability is the installation of tapered roller
steering head bearings in place of the ball bearings.
