I have seen people use all sorts of things over the years, including all sorts
of paints and colors, nail polishes and whiteout.....applied and then wiped with
a cloth to remove the excess....not unlike the way they do bowling balls. For
me, it has usually been a matter of what I can find laying around the garage.
