OEM Hondaline HWY Boards
Written by revconprince on 10/11/2010 at 02:56 am

I fabbed the mounts. It is 2 3/4" square bar stock welded to the crash bar
frame. I then welded a plate to screw the HWY board to. It was a bit of a trick
getting the board on the right angle. Took a lot of tack welding, twisting,
breaking and re-welding to get the angle right. Once I got the angle, I pulled
the crash bar to do the real weld. Don't really want to show too detailed shot
of the mount - then you would all know how poorly I weld.

I never liked the chrome HWY bars. They just didn't look right on the bike. Bars
are not that comfortable. Was surfing Ebay, and discovered people were selling
rear passenger boards, which gave me the idea. Found a set for 25 bucks.
Re-painted them and the rest is history.

Now I just need to figure out how to get a driver's back rest.
