looking at a '90 PC
Written by mlipmd on 11/30/2010 at 05:55 pm

I saw a 1990 PC for sale with 73,000 miles on it. It looks very clean, plastics
are good, well maintained throughout it's life but the present owner says it
drips a drop or two of oil, and the shop that just serviced it thought it was
coming from the cam seals and didn't do anything about it, just said it wasn't a
big enough problem at present to fix it.
I don't know whether the owner told them not to, or it's a very minor problem. I
know it's about the time for this to happen and it will only get worse with time
requiring a repair.
Is this a real PIA for someone to do, or, how expensive would this be for a shop
to do it, or is there any other easy way to repair it? Or should I bargain him
down another $500 or just look at another bike ?
Thanks for your help.
