Can't find a clutch push rod seal
Written by aayjayhod3 on 1/1/2011 at 11:00 pm

Happy New Year to all of you.

A little while ago I talked about having to change out my stator in order to get
my charging system back on line. The stator change worked thanks to someone who
mentioned Ricks Motorsport Electric. However, after swapping the stator out I
noticed that I had a lot of oil leaking from the clutch slave cylinder. When I
removed the slave cylinder to investigate I found that the large oil seal in the
left crankcase cover was damaged.

I had always had a seep type leak. But I never knew where it was coming from.
It may be that in removing and replacing the cover I may have opened up a
damaged seal a little more.

Here's the problem, the seal isn't listed in the parts diagrams online. You can
see it detailed but not listed. And, I can't find this seal anywhere.

It's about 1" in dia., about 1/4" thick and accomodates the push rod shaft that
measures about 3/16" dia. It's an easy press fit from the inside of the
crankcase cover.

Does anyone know if there is a part number and/or where to get a replacement?

Thanks,

A.J.
