Trunk latch cable broken(?), Neutral light, Lean angle sensor
Written by alfr4d on 1/5/2011 at 01:01 am

Moi Mark,
I am having this "Honda Common Service Manual" PDF file and it diagnoses the
problem of faulty neutral switch as follows:

Indicator Light does not go off!
Disconnect the light green/red wire from the neutral switch and turn the
ignition switch ON. WHEN INDICATOR DOES NOT LIGHT: Faulty neutral switch.
INDICATOR LIGHTS: Broken light green/red wire.

Neutral Indicator does not come on!
Disconnect the light green/red wire from the neutral switch and turn the
ignition switch ON. Check for battery voltage between the light green/red wire
and ground. WHEN BATTERY VOLTAGE: Faulty neutral switch. WHEN NO BATTERY
VOLTAGE: Broken light green/red wire between the indicator and neutral switch.
Blown bulb. Blown sub fuse. Poor connection of the fuse connector.

I do not know what to do when the light does not come on only sometimes but do
watch for corrosion at points of contact and test with a little less voltage and
at a moment that it does not work. The turn signal canceler is not in this book.
Alfred
